BSW Heating Ltd Successfully Awarded London Borough of Islington Communal Heating & Ventilation Contract

BSW Heating Ltd is pleased to announce the successful award of the London Borough of Islington’s Communal Heating & Ventilation Contract – Lot 1 (North) through the Fusion21 Heating, Renewables and Electrical Framework.

The contract will see BSW Heating deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, emergency response, statutory compliance, and system optimisation services across Islington’s communal heating infrastructure. The service covers communal boiler plant, district heating systems, controls and associated mechanical assets serving thousands of residents across the borough.

The award follows a competitive tender process with a strong emphasis on:

• Digital integration and data transparency

BSW Heating’s delivery model combines directly employed engineers, specialist technical support, integrated CAFM systems and dedicated resident liaison resources to provide a responsive and reliable service aligned with Islington’s long-term housing and sustainability objectives.

The mobilisation programme will commence immediately, with key activities including:

• Workforce mobilisation and TUPE consultation
• Systems integration with Oneserve, NEC Assets and SFG20
• Asset verification and compliance baseline reviews
• Resident communication and stakeholder engagement
• Health, safety, and operational readiness planning

The contract will also support Islington’s Progressive Procurement Strategy through:

• Local employment and apprenticeship opportunities
• Collaboration with Islington’s iWork programme
• Carbon reduction and fleet electrification initiatives
• Community engagement and social value reporting
• Long-term environmental improvement planning
